It is the people that make Tybee Island special.  Tybee is a great place to vacation  with family and friends and make special memories to last a lifetime.  Be sure to visit the Tybee Lighthouse while you are here.  History buffs will love it and although it is over 200 years old, it is still an active lighthouse.  The climb to the top is definitely worth it for the unbeliveable views of the island.  If you love marine life, you will want to visit the Tybee Island Marine Science Center.  There is a touch tank for the children, they do scheduled discovery walks on the beach and there are lots of interesting things to see at the center.  Would you like to see dolphins up close while taking an hour to hour and a half cruise by the Cockspur Lighthouse, Ft.
